The main objective of the society is the promotion of clinical microbiology practice through education and training, continuing professional development, research, conferences and workshops, and networking with other stakeholders at local and international levels.
The membership of the society cuts across all segments of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases and related disciplines such as epidemiology, medical statistics, infection control and prevention, surgery, critical medicine, and such other disciplines and persons that have an interest in infections and associated matters.
